Joka receives an accolade from the Municipality of Strumica

Since its establishment in 1993, Joka has been a pioneer in our region and has set standards as one of the first private dairies in the country.

Over the past three decades, our dairy has embraced and implemented the most advanced technologies for dairy processing and has continually enhanced quality and productivity.

While we’re humbled by the accolades and awards we have received over the years, nothing compares to the recognition we’ve received from our home municipality.

A Prestigious Honor from the Municipality of Strumica

We’re delighted to announce that the Council of the Municipality of Strumica has awarded Joka with the Annual Award for a Special Contribution in the Field of Economy and Production for 2023, in celebration of December 11, the feast of the protectors of Strumica, the Holy Fifteen Tiveriopolis priest-martyrs.

This esteemed award, a beautiful table medal from the order of the Holy Macedonian Cross, will be proudly displayed in our main office. It serves as a testament to our dedication and motivates us to continue our commitments.

In our country, the dairy industry is flourishing, thanks to the support of our friends in Strumica and the surrounding areas. Joka has been and will continue to be your loyal companion for every meal.

The History of Joka in Strumica

Joka’s journey began with milk, but our expansion led us to develop a wide range of products, including the cheeses and yogurts for which we’re known today.

Despite our rapid growth and ambitious dreams, we remain grounded in our humble beginnings. Our small family business has evolved into a powerhouse and has solidified our commitment to international quality standards, proven by our HASSR certificate. Throughout the years, we’ve continually sought the most efficient processes and the highest quality milk.

Today, our dairy offers a dozen products, including soured milk, sour cream, yogurt, fresh and long-life milk, ayran, and cheese. These products play a significant role in Macedonia’s dairy industry and bolstered Joka’s strong position in the domestic market.
